If you’re a Swiss watch collector, you won’t want to miss a visit to the new Musée Atelier Audemars Piguet in Le Brassus, Switzerland. Not only does it house 300 unique timepieces, but includes one purchased from DeMesy Fine Watches & Jewelry.

Swiss Watches and Architectural Craftsmanship

Designed by Danish architect Bjarke Ingels of Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG), the new Musée Atelier Audemars Piguet is scheduled to open on June 25, 2020. The spiral-shaped pavilion sits on a grassy knoll between the company’s two oldest buildings where Jules Louis Audemars and Edward Auguste Piguet set up their first Swiss watch shop in 1875.

“We wanted visitors to experience our heritage, savoir-faire, cultural origins and openness to the world in a building that would reflect both our rootedness and forward-thinking spirit. But, before all, we wanted to pay tribute to the watchmakers and craftspeople who have made what Audemars Piguet is today, generation after generation.”

Jasmine Audemars, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors

Traditional Swiss watch workshops have been added to the museum, so visitors can observe watchmakers at work and the skill and craftsmanship involved.

About the Clinton Foundation Equation of Time Swiss Watch

In 2007, Audemars Piguet partnered with The Clinton Foundation to launch the Clinton Foundation Equation of Time, a collection of 42 Swiss watches to honor the 42nd President of the United States. Proceeds of each sale benefit The Clinton Foundation

This men’s watch features basic time telling (second, minutes, hours) along with a full perpetual calendar (day, date, month, leap year), and of course a moon phase indicator. You can also view the time when the sun is going to rise and set each day.

The Audemars Piguet watch tells you more than you need to know. It features a black crocodile strap and white gold deployant clasp. The case back is engraved with the seal of President Clinton, “William J. Clinton 42nd President of the United States”.

For swiss watch collectors, Musée Atelier Audemars Piguet is an architectural marvel that offers a glimpse into the past, present and future of luxury watchmaking.
